On the arrival of the steamer Nortmark at Gurbau from- Hamburg, the Customs officials discovered 1000 rifles, a number of machine-guns and a large quantity of ammunition aboard. Though the ship’s papers gave no indication that there were on board, it is surmised that they were intended for China. The vessel was placed under an armed guard and removed to the Gongclla Basin.
