EVERYBODY’S “ANNA CHRISTIE” TO-NTGHT. Tlie big special First National attraction which was shown at Everybody’s Theatre for the first time last evening lis the film version of Eugene O’Neill’s ■gripping play “Anna Christie.” Deserted Iby her father, left to work out her own destiny, and finally unable to keep to the straight path. Anna, who is portrayed by Blanche Sweet, is a creature who at once calls for sympathy. Miss Sweet has a role that calls for the best, and she responds to all demands. The adaptation was in the hands of Thos. H. Ince, and he has succeeded with a most difficult task. There is' a fine supporting cast. The picture has'been passed by the censor as suitable for adult audiences. The usual Gazette, a scenic “The Lest of the Bison,” a comedy, and another series of “The Fast Steppers,” form the supports. The programme screens again to-night and finally tomorrow night. Seats may be reserved at Collier’s.

THE PEOPLE’S. “THE STORM DAUGHTER.” Through the rage of the storm with breakers and rocks ahead the sturdy little “windjammer” tried bravely to keep its course. The brutal skipper that knew the seven seas was not at the helm —only a slip of a girl, gripping th** wheel, guided that ill-fated bark through mountainous seas that battered it mercilessly! Would her strength and spirit prevail against the terrific onslaught of wind and storm? An excellent pictorial treat is in store for picture patrons at the People’s Theatre to-night, and tomorrow, when Priscilla Dean *will be seen in “The Storm Daughter.” It is said to be one of those great eea pictures which everybody loves, dramatic with it*; storm of human passions and a tropical typhoon which engulfs a mighty ship. “The Storm Daughter” is the story of a woman’s brutal treatment at the hands of a sea captain. “Brute” Morgan. bully of the sea, who awakes to the realisation that the life that long ago he had set for himself is a life of false convictions. In addition to “The Storm Daughter.” “The Oregon Trail.” a Century comedy starring Baby Peggy, and the latest International News will be shown. The prices of admission will remain as usual, viz., stalls 9d, dress circle Is 3d.
