CHURCH AT KAIMATA.
(To 'the Editor.)
Sir, —Tn the personal column of your issue of Friday, May 16, there appears a short account of a farewell to the Rev. R. J. Stanton, vicar of Inglewood, which states that in the term he had been in office two new dhur'c'hes had been erected in the parish, one at Inglewood and one at Kaimata, and to all apearances the vicar accepted the credit for both of them. Tf the credit for the latter church is due to his organisation and zeal I must be labouring under a misunderstanding, for I have alwavs given the whole of the credit to Mr. A. E. Burwell and family, and if I am wrong, I shall be pleased to be corrected through your valuable columns or elsewhere, as 1 always like to give credit to whom credit is due. I am fully aware it does not say that the Rev. R. J. Stanton built the churches, but as it reads he accepted the credit for both, and for this reason I feel he must have been at the head of the organisation of the building, as I fail to see how any man can accept credit for what lie has not done.—l am, etc. A. A. WARD. Tariki, May 16, 1924.
