. NORTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. VISIT OF NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM. ARRANGEMENTS FOR BIG MATCH. The executive of the North Taranaki Cricket Association met last night to make final, arrangements for tne New South Wales match at New Plymoutli next Wednesday and Thursday. Present: Messrs. G. Bottrill (chairman), R. B. MacDonald. E Dinniss. N Gibson. A. .0. Powell, C. 0. Berg, A. H. Osborne, H. Lambert, F H. Robertson and H. J. Grayson (secretary). ' A resolution wai passed thanking Mr. C. H. Stephenson and his committee for organising a dance for the entertainment of the Australian eleven on Wednesday night. The meeting also passed a vote of thanks to Mr. Cooper for his x efforts in arranging for a suitable programme of match. The advertising committee reported that posters had been posted up locally and arrangements had been made for the country mail cars to carry conspicuous advertisements during the next few days. Appreciation was expressed at the generous treatment the association had received from the local press in the matter of advertising, several residents of the town had generously offered their cars for the use of the riaitors on Wednesday morning, and these would be utilised for showing them some of the beauty spots around New Plymouth. The director of the Wellington Boys’ Institute wrote offering the association the services of the Institute Band, which would reach New Plymouth on tour next week. The after was accepted, and the band will be asked to play before the commencement of play and a r the afternoon tea adjournment The team will be met, on arrival at the Station, by the reception committee, and the Mayor (Mr. F. E. Wilson) will receive thejn. The following were appointed official scorers for the match: —Messrs. A. J. Papps and Jackson Palmer and Master Bruce Bell. All players in next match, and also members of the management committee, are requested to be at the park on Monday at tun.
