The stewards of the Stratford Racing Club fully realise that a record attendance may be expected at the forthcoming meeting. In order to obviate as much as possible the congestion at the outside gate ticket sellers will be stationed in Broadway central. The public can largely avoid inconvenience if they will purchase tickets of admission for themselves and motor ears in town. The stewards hope that the public will thus assist. Special trains will run from New Plymouth, Tahora and Patea, and all intermediate stations. Extra provision has been made for afternoon tea. A space has been cleared in the native bu«sh near the saddling paddock, and a large marquee is being erected. Patrons may therefore rely on enjoying themselves under delightful conditions.
