THEFT OF SHIP’S CARGO.
TWO MEN -SENT TO GAOL. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Twelve months’ imprisonment was imposed on Reginald Boyton and George Stiff, both twenty years of age, trimpiers on the steamer Cumberland, for embezzling ship’s cargo valued at £0 18s, including cloth, toweling, hoso and vests. Boyton admitted that they entered the hold with a lighted candle on Friday night.
