HOUSE SET ON FIRE.
THE DOORS BARRICAI7ED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, Last Night. Sprinkling the three outer doors of a house at Stavely with petrol, an incendiary, who is unknown, set alight to the house about midnight. The nofse awoke the occupant. R. F. Ford, but his exit was barred by two doors being barricaded. Breaking through the third door he reached outside and extinguished the flames. The police are investigating.
