SPORTING AND DRAMATIC.

An outstanding feature of this week’s issue of the “N.Z. Sproting and Dramatic Review” is the photographic souvenir of the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham, depicting in a striking double page an assembly of nearly 200 patrons on the lawn, the reproductions being remarkably clear. There is also a page of snapshots covering the last day of the Wellington Racing Club’s Meeting. Racing at Randwick is the subject of an interesting set that will appeal to the sporting section. Very graphic are the photographs of the high jumping competitions at the Royal Show in Sydney, showing some wonderful leaps. The Napier Girls’ High School sports are given a page of attractive snapshots, and other Dominion pictures show the Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch members of the Y.W.C A. at the Easter Encampment at Lower Hutt; Wanganui Rowing Club’s winning crew; fire at Wanganui; latest type of tramcar for Auckland; Island Bay Association Football Club; N.Z. Lawn Tennis Association’s representative team; Lower Hutt gala day; Matiere Cricket Club; Miss Lily Butler, C.8.E., the celebrated war worker; winners of the Wanganui Beauty Competition. Our £5O Free Skill Competition on the Great Northern Handicap appears in this issue. The Review is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.*
