TASK IN MESOPOTAMIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received April 29, 11.55 p.m. London, April 29. The Sunday Express says Sir Percy CoS (High Commissioner), during a farewell banquet at Bagdad, foreshadowed that British occupation , in Mesopotamia would last four years longer. He declared he could not speak for the Government, except to state
that peace with Turkey was essential. He had no doubt the British would stay until Mesopotamia could stand alone, with ultimate independence, which would have been finally achieved in four years. *
