A WOMAN'S HEROISM.
RESCUE OF GIRL CAPTIVE. By Telegraph.— Press Assn.—Copyright. London, April 27. The King and Queen have sent a message to the Viceroy as follows: ‘‘We learned with deepest interest and admiration of Mrs. Starr’s service in the rescue of Miss Ellis. We share the feeling of horror which the ‘brutal crime in Kohat gave rwe to, but we are greatly relieved to know that Mrs. Starr’s heroic endeavor was crowned with success. The fearless devotion with which she carried through her res cue will long lie an encouragement an! an inspiration.” The King has awarded Mrs. Starr the Kaiser-I-Hind Medal.
