TROTTING FORBURY PARK MEETING. SECOND DAY S RESULTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association Dunedin, Last Night. The Forbury Park trots concluded to-day. The weather was dull, the course in good order and the attendance, for .an off-day, fair. The totnlisator handled £28,050 10s compared with £28,522 on the second day last year, the total for the meeting being £64.429, compared with £63,335 for the meeting last rear. EGMONT RACES. CUP DAY TO-MORROW. The Egmont Racing Club’s summer meeting, which opens to-morrow, promises to provide racegoers with two splendid days’ sport. Right through the fields are good. The Cup has drawn a fine field of a dozen, being not only strong numerically, but containing a good class nf horse. Marqueteur, which has won the I Cup for the past- two years, heads the list with 9.6, and with Sunart. Kick Off, Muraahi, .ffinohoro, Mark Time, Stork, etc. engaged a great race should ensue. The Flying has also drawn a good field of nine and some of the light weights will keep Solfaneßo and Irapuka husy. The minor events have fllled well. The Egmont Stakes also promtoes to be a great race, with The Hawk, Rational, Tamatete engaged, and the duel between that trio should be worth going a long ‘way to see. Tarleton Is a speedy customer among the lightweights that may keep the opposition very busy. Mr. A. Morse has the course in splendid order, whilst Mr. V. B. Stratton, the club's secretary, .has made very complete arrangements to ensure the success of the gathering. As trains from Wanganui and New Plymouth stop at the course, should be a very large attendance.
