Owing to the gate of Duke and Orr’s dry dock on the south bank of the Yarra collapsing, water flooded the dock, causing damage to the extent of £20,000. WOOL SHIPPERS REBUFFED, Sydney, Feb. 3. Wool shippers by the Commonwealth Line have been rebuffed by the dumping company, which has decided to handle wool shipped by private lines only. The Commonwealth Line anticipates that the Farmers’ and Graziers’ Association dumping plant can cope with its cargoes. NEW SOUTH WALES STATE BAKERY. Sydney, Feb. 3. The State bakery was offered at auction yesterday, but no bids were received. MR. HUGHES EULOGISED. Sydney, Feb. 3. Newspapers publish editorial eulogies of the past services of Mr. Hughes to Australia and pay a tribute to his successful career in the face of adversity. He did the right thing in tendering his resignation. Mr. Bruce has three days in which to form a Ministry. The outlook is uncertain whether a Nationalist or a composite Cabinet will be formed.
