EVERYBODY’S. “KISSIKG 1 CUP’S RACE” TO-NIGHT. One of the finest British productions l or some time, a story of the turf, with fts thrill.; and glamours, its shouting, its cheering is “Kissing Cups Rabe.” ."•bowing to-night and twice to-morrow fit Everybody’s, in which the popular English artists, Violet Hopson and Gregory .Scott appear. “Kissing Cup’s Race” was adopted from the famous poem by Campbell Rae-Brown, and which is known to every English speaking race of the world. No picture released in the Dominion has exceeded the popularity of “Kissing Cup’s Race,” and reckoning on the certain filling of the theatre both nights enables the management to screen the British masterpiece at the usual prices. LAST NIGHT OF “THE TIGER’S COAT.” At the People’s Theatre tq-night the principal attraction ia the latest Selznick Pictures release, “The Tiger’s Coat,” a Dial Film Company’s production, which is an unusual and dramati-cally-told story. Myrtle Stedman. Lawson Butt. and Tina Modotti are featured. The story revolves round a young Mexican girl, who determines to assume the identity of a pure-blooded white girl. Tina Modotti, an Italian beauty, who has only recently taken up screen work in America, is seen as the fascinating little heroine of the story. Miss Stedman has never given a more finished or subtle performance; and. Lawson Butt is particularly good as a strong-willed man wjio finds his ultimate happiness in caring for the Mexican girl who comes to him' out of the storm. The supporting films include the first episode of “With Stanley in Africa,” a big historical chapter play, Ealroom Boy Comedy and Topicals. KAPONGA PICTURES. 1 The Storm, Universal’s latest and greatest jewel production with its wonderful cast, headed by House Peters and Virginia Valli, will be screened to-night (Monday). It ie difficult to over-nraise this picture; z the emotional scenes in the snowbound hut are intense, the magnificent scenery holds one spellbound, the vastness and reality of the forest fire at the climax is overwhelming.
