THE SANDERS CUP. FOURTH RACE GOES TO RONA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckalnd, Feb. 2. The fourth race for the Sanders Cup started at 10.30 this morning, only three boats, the Bona, Murihiku and Linnet taking part. The course was triangular. The wind was a strong westerly, giving a. run down the harbor, a lead across, and a dead boat back. The Rona was slow in getting off. but. went very fast through the water and was in front before any of the boats reached the first mark boat, fihe increased her lead and rapidly completed the first round over four minutes ahead of the Murihiku, the Linnet being a long distance further astern. The Rona continued and increased her lead in the second round, and eventually won by about nine minutes from the Murihiku, the Linnet having dropped out after the first round. The finishing time was: Rona 12hrs. 27min. 58sec.; Murihiku 12hrs. 36min. 37sec. THE FINAL RA/CE. WON BY THE RONA. Auckland, Last Night. The contest for the Sanders Cup was brought to an end to-day, whe the Auckland defender, the Rona, won two races. In the second race the Rona goth the lead soon and was never headed, showing the best behaviour under heavy weather conditions. Rounding the white light for the first time, the Rona was leading 'the Murihiku by 50 seconds and the Linnet, was 21 seconds behind the Southland boat. The finishing times were: Rona, 4 hr. 37 min. 54 sec.; Murihiku, 4 hr. 52 min. 8 sec.
