The Ruhr was effectively isolated from the unoccupied part of Germany at midnight and all coal supplies stopped. The Petit Parwien says that a large number of German railwaymen approached the Allied authorities and asked that they might bo allowed to resume .work unconditionally The offers were recorded with reserve owing co recent lets of sabotage. Tha commission will not call men until circumstances are favourable. The French authorities in the Ruhr have begun intensifying the coal deliveries on account of reparations. Berlin, Feb. I. A hug? demonstration wa* made in lhe Konigsberg, in front of the hotel where French officers and members of the Inter-Allied Commission are stayDg. The crowd demanded the departure Df the officers. The police frustrated attempts to force an entrance to the hotpi and finally cleared the square.
