EFFECT OF DRY SPELL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received April 21, 7.55 p.m. Sydney, April 21. The effects of the dry spell throughout the country during the past few months is showing in the stock sales. Owners are rushing cattle and sheep into the market. Sheep prices are well mointained. owing to the keen demand for the export trade. Exporters are operating freely in view of the strong tone of the London market, which is predicted to hold no upward movement in cattle. It is expected slackness will continue until a settlement is reached with the workers over the Federal Government’s beef subsidy scheme.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
