MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. • A meeting of the committee of the Taranaki Tockej - Club was held last right. Present: .’Messrs. L. A. Nolan (chairman)-, W. C. Weston, G. Fraser, F. Orbell, W. Nicoll, L. B. Webster, N. King, A., Alexander, B. H. Chaney, A. R. Standish, O. W. Sole, and J. McLeod. An apology for absence was received from Mr. W. T. Hookham. The catering committee reported that satisfactory arrangements had been made for the Christmas meeting, the Hygienic Bakery being appointed caterers. The question of ladies’ complimentary tickets was discussed, and it was decided that all ladies, excepting the holders of memoers’ tickets, would be required to pay 2s at the outer gates, and' 3s for admission to the The trouble arising from the abuse of couplimentary tickets was fully discussed. The committee decided to appoint Mr. B. Tippins a special gate supervisor at the lawn gates. The New Plymouth Motor Cycle Club were granted the use of the club’s course for (heir cycle race meeting in March, subject to ter.’ns. A certificate of fitness of character was granted Noel Shore in connection with an application for a jockey’s license. Several sub-committees were set up to go into matters affecting the meeting.
