DISLOYALTY AT SCHOOL.
REFUSAL TO SALUTE FLAG. INCIDENT AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Replying to a question in the House to-day, the Minister of Education (the Hon. C. J. Parr) said it was a fact that yesterday, at a Wellington suburban school, some eleven children out of twenty—no doubt acting under instructions from their parents—refused to join in the weekly ceremony of saluting the flag. He would discuss the position with his officers and make a pronouncement as to the line of action his department would take. He thought it deplorable that there were any parents in the Dominion so misguided as to advise their children not to take part in a ceremony of saluting the flag of their country.
