THE STOCK MARKET. PRICES AT WESTFIELD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The following prices ruled at Westfield today : Beef.—Medium yarding. Prices showed a considerable drop on last week, very little beef being sold for over 30s per 1001 b. Prices: Extra choice ox, 31s; choice, £7 10s to £1 ss; plain, £1 4s to 14s; cows (young) and heifers, £1 6s to £1 2s; plain, 15s to 20s. Sheep.—Rather short supply of mutton, and although wether prices were on a par with last week, ewes improved considerably. Prices: Extra heavy wethers, £1 3s; good, £1 2s to 19s; plain, 18s to 16s; ewes, prime heavy, 19s 9d; prime, 19s to 17s; others, 15s to 10s. Calves.—Full yarding and moderate demand. Prices: Runners, £4; vealers, £3 5s to 355; fresh dropped, 10s to ss. Pigs.—Large yarding; demand very slack, except for good weaners, which sold out of proportion to other classes. Prices: Baconers, £4 10s to £3 10s; choppers, £4 to £3; porkers, £2 10s to £1; stores neglected; weaners, 15s to 18s. LONDON WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 25. At the wool sale mixed offerings sold well. Yorkshire and tie Continent, particularly Germany, bought freely. Merinos fully maintained late rates, and the better class of crossbreds were a shade dearer. The Mangahua clip brought top price 9%d, average 9d, Dalgety 19%d and 18d. The Importers’ Association fixed the London sales for 1922; January 10, March 7, May 2, June 13, July 18. B.A.W.R.A. WOOL CERTIFICATES. Melbourne, Oct. 26. The directors of B.A.W.R.A. have decided to cancel the wool priority certificates not already retired by a cash payment of £5,250,000 on May 18 next. THE SLUMP IN THE MARK. London, Oct. 25. The Berlin exchange rate is 642 marks to £l. LONDON MEAT MARKET. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, under date October 21 : The market is well supplied with mutton, for which there is a little more demand. The lamb market is dull. There is a better tone prevai dug in the beef market. Current quotations: '.'..-tier mutton, 4%d to 7d per lb: ewe mutton.
