(From Our Own Correspondent.) June 12. The Borough Council met on Wednesday last. The Mayor presided over a full attendance of councillors. The 'Farmers’ Co-op. asked for a license to store 1000 cases of benzine. . . A discussion took place on the suitability of the building. Ur. Oger stated that he was under the impression that the council insisted on a concrete- building on a recent application by another fitin. It was decided to issue a temporary license until the new regulation came into force. . The Bank of New Zealand advised that from June 1 the rate of interest on current account overdraft \vould be 7 per cent.
