ICE-PACKS IN ATLANTIC.
SHIPPING ENDANGERED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. ' New York, June 9. The steamer Chariot sent a wireless message that she crushed her bow against an iceberg off Newfoundland. The damage is unknown. The Seapool, which was reported yesterday to have been damaged, is returning to St. Johns. Various vessels report exceptionally heavy ice-packs. There has been considerable anxiety concerning several big liners in the vicinity of the Grand Banks, but this has been dispelled by the companies’ statements that all are well, though the vessels sighted big •bergs.
