SYDNEY WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Feb. 1, 7.15 p.m. < Sydney, Feb. 1. The wool sales have been resumed. Tie chief feature is an improved demand for mediums by foreign buyers, more particularly Americans and Japanese, and a loss pronounced tendency to pay high prices for the very best offerings, which marked the earlier sales of the season. Otherwise the market is about steady at about November rates. Wasty and inferior wools are practically unsaleable—Aus -N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON METAL MARKETS. Received Feb. 1, 10.30 p.m. London, Jan. 31. Copper —£67 17s 6d and £6B 7s 6d; electrolytic £75 10s and £77. Lead.—£23 2s Cd and £23 7s Cd. Spelter.— £24 15s and £25 15s. Tin.—£l6B 15s and £174 15s. Silver.—3s l-8d per ounce.
