Hall, the gathering being representative of all the congregations for which the Society is working. Miss Miller, assistant agent to ths Society, gave an outline of ihe Society's aims and what it was hopfß to •pcem* plish in New Zealand in the direction of organising each town. ,She mention. He spoke ol the increasing interest in bible circulat tion in France, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece* and Roumania; but the main centre ox interest, he said, was in Africa and Altai, The Society was'.' working .in W* languages in Africa and India, circulate ing one and a half million copieß of the scriptures, whereas took 3,200,909 copies, this" number .representing oie* third of the total output of the Society for the year.
