THE EYRE MURDER.
NO ARREST MADE YET. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. No arrest has been made in connection with the murder at Pukekawa. Police, under Detective-Sergeant Cummings, are still scouring the district in search of evidence, but they are in almost a complete absence of clues. Their work may be prolonged and laborious. A Teward of £2SC is bein? offered for information leading to the conviction of the murderer. VICTIM A WEALTHY FARMER. Auckland, August 28. It transpires that Mr. Eyre, the victim of the Pukekawa murder, wag a fairly wealthy man, owning farm property of a value of over £30,000.
