The Price Investigation Tribunal (Messrs. C. M. Luke, A. J. Maxwell and M. J. Reardon) held a sitting in Stratford this morning. A number of complaints were received, the nature of which cannot at present be indicated by the Tribunal. Mr. Luke said the Tribunal had found during their stay in Taranaki that the rising price of land had an important indirect bearing on the high cost of commodities. The following is the text on a brass memorial tablet which has been put up in the Municipal Buildings corridor in connection with the Roll of Honor:— "This Roll of Honor to the men of the Stratford district who made the supreme 'sacrifice in the Great War, 1914-19, was graciously unveiled by H.R.H.
