It has been decided to liold the United church parade of Stratford local bodies and athletic clubs in the Stratford Methodist Church next Sunday morning. Should the weather be unpropitious this arrangement will prove more satisfactory than having the service in the Town Hall.- Members are invited to ffiirade in regalia. The Rev. Leslie B. Neale will conduct the service.

The complimentary non-political social which will be tendered to Mr. and Mrs. R. Masters by the Te Popo residents in the Stanley Road schoolroom to-morrow (Friday) evening, gives every promise of being a thorough success. There was a large attendance at the farewell function tendered Mr. G. Ferguson in the Midhirst Public Hall last evening. On behalf of the Hall Board, Mr. G. P. Harkness presented Mr. Ferguson with a farewell address and travelling bag, and on behalf of the Sports Club, Mr. Shotter presented him with a dressing bag. During the evening a duet was given by Mesdames Smith and Hatcher, and a solo by Mrs Tapp. Dance music was supplied by Misses Coyne, Frost and Brown, and the M.C.'s for the evening were Messrs. Shotter and Carter. The function broke up about 2 a.m.
