(To' tlio Editor.) j Sir,—Referring to your report of this case, otherwise a full report, may I, as Mi\ Searle's solicitor, ask you to mention Hint Mr. Campbell, for the successful. appellant, protested against the non-allowance of costs to him? For a successful plaintiff, especially as appellant, not to lie allowed costs is so entirely unusual and against all legal usage that one is much surprised at the Court's ruling, uptil tha fact is remembered tiiat where a Court, as this one, is without the assistance of solicitors, under the curious provisions of the Act, anything may happen—and often doe3 —I am, etc. L.
