EVERYBODY'S. '"THE LION AND THE MOUSE." Charles Klein's big stage success, "The Lion and the Mouse," with one»of the screen's most talented and fascinating ' stars, Alice Joyce, in the role of Shirley Rossmore, will be screened at Everybody's to-night and at both sessions to-morrow. It is the story of the master financial mind and power of the universe brought to his knees by a girl—not by a frail girl, but by a pretty, clover, and determined American gi."l, who knew a wrong had been done:, not only to her o.wn kin, but to the world, and who set out, not only to undo the wrong, but to undo it in such a manner that would make such wrongs impossible in the future to others This special feature production is proving one of the greatest successes introduced into the Dominion picture world, and the fact that it is being screened at the usual prices should make it doubly pop uiar in this town.

EMPIRE THEATRE, THE DANDIES OF 1920. The above company will commence a three nights season at the Empire Theatre to-morrow (Saturday night). "The Dandies of 1920," according to reports from the south, must be one of the smartest and brightest .companies that has yet visited the Dominion. Press notices in all the towns so far played voice the opinion that the artists are decidedly clever and versatile, with a pleasing faculty of presenting their offerings with much dash and abandon. As is customary with all "Dandies" companies, there is 'n Ml the programmes submitted a. preponderance of musical comedy, including many oi the most recent pantomime and revue successes, judiciously leavened with operatic scenes and concerted numbers. It is generally conceded that there is no more pleasing form of entertainment than that supplied by "The Dandies." Their programmes are such that they appeal to all tastes and one appreciated by old and young alike. The great reputation established, and the record of appearing for ten consecutive seasons without diminishing in popularity, is a tri'butc to the excellence of their work. THE PEOPLE'S. •'THE HAYSEEDS" AND "JOHNNY ON THE SPOT." A special big double bill at the People's to-night presents "The Hayseeds' Melbourne Cup" and Hale Hamilton in ■'Johnny on the Spot." The former picture has 'been transferred from Everybody's after two nights of phenomenal business, and all who arc looking for something rich in fun should not miss the ifinal presentation to-night at the People's.

BIG DOUBLE BILL TO-MORROW. ,A special attraction in the shape of two big star films, and another big new Mick Sennett comedy, is being offered patrons to the People's to-morrow and Monday evenings, commencing at 7.30 p.m. "The Square Deal" is a Mutual de Luxe feature, starring Margarita Fischer,

The big Mack Sennett scream, "Trying to Get Along," follows at 8.30 p.m., and at 9 p.m. the John BarrymoreParamount super-comedy drama entitled "Here Comes the Bride," and said everywhere to be the funniest thing, that is real humor, seen for months and months The latter two pictures, together with ''Bray Pictograph," comprise the matinee programme, commencing at 2 p.m. tomorrdw.
