STUD SHEEP.
SALE AT CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. One of the largest lots of stud shesg, comprising English Leicesters, Southdowns, Ryelands, and Shropshires, ever submitted for sale by one breeder was held on the Show Grounds to-day, when Mr. L Andrews 5 flocks were sold. There wag a representative attendance of sheepbreeders, and competition for the various lots was fairly keen.
English Leicester stud rams sold up to 7gns., but large numbers were passed in, as the buyers present were buying largely for stud purposes. The Ryelands offered sold well, a pen of flock ewes making 15gns., but down flock ewes, both Shropshire and Southdown, were hard to quit.
