NEW ORGANISATION PROPOSED. By Teiesraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrlgtfc. Received March 10, 8.10 p.m. London, March 8. The Statistical Conference recommend? the Imperial Council should be incorporated under Royal Charter, with the Prime Minister of England exofficio president. The United Kingdom should nominate ten members, and India and the self-governing Dominions two. A permanent Advisory Committee is also recommended, which will include" twelve members: also an Imperial Mineral Resource? Bureau. The Director of Statistics should be an expert (Statistician and administrator, with a salary eqaavalent to thai of a Permanent Secretary of a British State Department. The staff should contain representatives from the staffs of the overseas statistical departments for a determinate period.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
