' After defeating by 102 to 70 Mr Funding's amendment agreeing to the treaty, but asserting that the House refused to assent to any impairment of the existing autonomous authority of the Dominion, and also declaring that in future Canada must settle what part she' would take in any war through her representatives in Parliament, the House of Commons passed the motion to approve file peace treaty without a division.—' Aus.-X.Z.
