THE ARAPAWA REFLOATED.

The Northern Company's steamer Arapawa, which became stranded at the entrance to the Waitara River on Sunday, August' 3, was refloated at 9.40 on Monday night, With the assistance' of the Rimu. Apparently she has suffered no serious damage during her three weeks' sojourn on the beach, though no definite information on this point is yet available. The Himu towed the Arapawa to New Plymouth to receive final instructions. The Arapawa anchored inside the breakwater at 12.45 a.m., and the Rimu came alongside the wharf at 1 a,m. At 9 a.m. the Rimu again took the Arapawa in tow and left for Onehunga. The Arapawa used her engines in getting off at Waitara.
