CHEAP MONEY.
NO LONGER OBTAINABLE IN ENGLAND.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 1, 8.15 p.m. Melbourne, Last Night. The Auditor-General has returned from a visit to London in connection with loan matters. He states that bo far as the Empire money market is concerned, he formed the opinion that during the next decade at least Australia would have to look to her own market for cheap money. The prevailing rate in London was five and a half per cent., but owing to the high income-tax this really means a return of only three and a half per cent. ..•>■,..-.,
