In the Wellington compcutlrms University (10) defeated Wellington (0), after a very strenuous contest. Selwyn (18) prevailed over Oriental (9). The content between Poueke and Athletic nroved most, exciting, the panic ending In a draw, there being no score on either side. At Manaia on Saturday the bout between Walmate and Kaponga produced some very fine football The ex-Taranakl lock, "Soot" McKay, was referee. In tho first spell Kaponga reg'ntered 3 points, P. Norgate scoring a neat try. The second half saw Walmate set up a continuous attack, and as a result Phillips scored tw> tries, and Hlckey oiio, while W. Ryan converted one, bringing the winners' score to 11 points, against Kaponga's 3. A collection taken up u> aid of tho well-known ex-representatlTe, S. Mynott, secured £8 15s. A close, and at times Interesting, game was witnessed on Saturday, when a match was decided between Inglewood and Waitara. The former were winners, u try by Hacker belnu converted by Sheahan. Waitnra'a three points were obtained by McKoy who landed a penalty goal. In the achool match, Kapuni r.
