A very successful and enjoyable entertainment in aid of various charities connected with the Girls' Friendly So l eiety was arranged by the associates and members in St. Mary's Hail on Thursday afternoon. Th 6 room had been prettily decorated by Misses PercySmith and D. Simpson with autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. The afternoon tea tables were arranged about the room %nd attended to by Mrs. Peach, Miesea Millman, Harvey and several girls. The competition stall was in charge of Misses Wade and Simpson; flower stall, Mrs. P. Jackson, Misses Mace and N. Hurle; sweets, Misses Harrison, Newsam and Aldridge; produce, Misses Curtis, Putt and Ludo; Miss V. Miller contributed several violin solos and Miss Hine, songs which were most enjoyable. Amongst those 'present were Mesdames Evans, Courtney, Blackley, Collins, Sladden, Skinner, F. Wilson, Thompson (Wellington), -Newman, McKellar, Webster, Martin, T. Avery, Standish, .Kingdon, Misses Gascoyne, Devenish, Hamerton, H. Rawson, Hempton, Stephenson-Smith, WynnWilliams, Shaw, Thomson, Tabart , (Chris tchurch), Miller, Avery, Wilson v WEDDING. SALISBURY—FABISH. A very pretty wedding was solemnised on 1 Tuesday, April 29, at the Roman Catholic Church, Inglewood, by the Rev. Father Long, when Ada Winifred, fourth daughter of Mr. F. Fabish, of Tariki, was married to Mr. F. Salisbury, third son of Mr. J. Salisbury, of Inglewood. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in white Japanese crepe-de-chine, daintily trimmed with real lace. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of erysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Doris Fabish, sister of the bride, who was attired in pale- heliotrope voile, with a black tulle hat, relieved with heliotrope roses, and carried a bouquet of white cosmos and daisies Mr. A. "Oodunski, cousin of the bridegroom, acted'best man. After the reception, which was held at the bride's residence, the happy couple left by motor ear,on their honeymoon. The bride's travelling cobtnme was of navy blue serge, with saxe .bine orepe-de-chine hat.
