THE BRITISH EMBARGO. Washington, Feb. u. Senator Lewis, in the Senate, said the British embargo is likely to cause hostility towards Britain at a time when President Wibon is abroad endeavoring to foment good relations. Senator Weeks explained that tho embargo was not directed at the United States morg than countries.
