THE ESCAPED PRISONERS. AUTHORITIES PUZZLED. Received Feb. C, 9.15 p.m. London, Feb. 5. The circumstances of the escape of De Valera and others are puzzling the authorities. The prison is situated In a lonely district, surrounded by a wall ' twenty feet high, and the only entrance !is closely guarded. The fact that the | prisoners were wearing civilian clothes i probably facilitated the escape. —Aus. j N.Z. Cable Assoc.
