PROPOSED EDUCATIONAL SCHEME. liy Telegraph.—Pi ess Association. Wellington, Feb. 6. Replying to a deputation yesterday whiwi waited on him with suggestions as to methods of dealing with tile social evil, the Acting-Premier made an important statement in which he outlined a scheme for the future training of senior oadets and-territorials. The Minister said the root of the matter referred to by the deputation could be got at only bv the proper training o£ the young. The new scheme had for its object the training of senior cadets in the ideals of good citizenship, would be given on hygiene, and he hoped sex hygiene mught be included, though they must be sure they did not begin to teach that too soon. They wished to promote al! that pertained to physical health and moral development. His idea was to start at the beginning and train boys and girls to resist, temptation. The Minister of Education, who* was present, said he was heart and soul with the new scheme, and would support it no matter what the consequences, political or otherwise.
