The Commissioner of Taxes was asked last week if any great difficulty was being experienced by his Department ill getting all the particulars for the purpose of land and interne tax from those who have gone to the front from Xeiv Zealand. The Commissioner said that, so far, the Department had experienced no trouble on the score mentioned, and that every man who was taxable had appointed an attorney or made an arrangement for someone to luok after his aft'airs. Of course, as far as incomes were concerned, most of the wen ceased to become tawaWe when they got into khaki. Some troubles might crop up in the future, hut the Comßiissiongr did not anticipate that they would be insuperable.
