ANZAC DAY.

The Times, in a leading article, says that when they landed at Gallipoli tiie Australians n»d New Zealanders set the seal upon their people's manhood and widened the door that had already been opened by the Canadians to a new life for Britishers throughout the Empire. No mishap or disagreement can break the brotherhood. The partnership of our peoples Ims been cemented by their nobility, and their mutual admiration. -Britishers have welcomed the ehancc of expressing their loyalty to and passionate admiration for our fighters, and opportunities such as these demonstrations should be more frequent. The Australasians in London nave jet an excellent example, which should be followed when occasion offers.
The Globe says: "Anznc 'Daj; stands henceforth among our first of days. It is engraved with sacrifice and with imperishable glory." Other journals advocate that Anzac Day shall annually be celebrated in England.

Birdwood the following reply to his Anznc Hay message from returned soldiers in .Sew Zealand:—''Many thanks tor your good wishes, which have been passed on to /uu/ Cape Holies comrades. All Anzacs here send their returned comrades hearty gTeetin»s Birdwood." OTHER SERVICES. WREATHS AT MALTA. Cairo, April 2(1. St. Mark's Church, Alexandria, was crowded for a simple and touching commemorative service. Malta,' April 20. An impressive memorial service was held at the Pieta Cemetery, where many Anzaes were buried. The graves were hidden under masses of flowers and wreaths, touchingly inscribed. The Benders included man}' Anzacs who are recuperating at Malta.
