The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named: Otairi, top 19Vsd, average 18% d; Akitio, 19% d and 18»/ e d; Glenside, 19</ 2 d and 17% - Lead—lmports 19,490 tone, exports 1427 tons, Wheat and flour.—The wheat and flour afloat for Britain is 2,775,000 quarters, and for the Continent 3,615,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments are 798,000 quarters and Pacific 10,000 quarters. The total for Europe is 1,395,000 quarters, including Argentina 281,000 quarters and Australasia 00,000 quarters. THE WOOL MARKET. London, March 12. Wool.—"phe e tt er t° lle continue and prices are in sellers' favor. To date 62,481 bales have been catalogued, and 51,774 sold. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named:—Ngatapa, top price 19d, average lSd; Moriotaria, 23</.d and 22% d; Bushy Hill, 18d and n%d; Annedale, 20d and 18% d; Tautana, 20d and 19»/ 5 d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. (Stratford branch) report as follows: On Friday, February 25, we held our Puniwhakau sale in Mr. H. B. Worthington's yards (by his kind permission), when we had a yarding of 40 cattle and 2100 sheep. We sold all the cattle and practically all the sheep, with the exception of a small line of lambs. There was a large attendance of outside buyers. Prices throughout were very good: —Mixed weaners 375, 4-year eweg 2H Id to 22s Bd, 4 and fl-tooth wethers 23s 6d to 255, 2-tooth wethers 21s fid to 235, 2-tooth ewes (small) 21s lOd, lambs 9s 8d to 14s, cull ewes 12s Id to 14s, 4. and 6-tooth ewes 235. On Thursday, March 2, we held our supplementary sheep fair in our Kohuratahi yards, when we yarded 1900 sheep, all of which were sold except one line of 4-tooth wethers. Prices were good, but several lines were passed at the hammer and sold afterwards. On Monday, March fi, we held our supplementary sheep fair in our Stratford yards, when we yarded over 4000 sheep. Prices throughout were quiet, and we only disposed of about half the yarding. Next Stratford sale Tuesday, 21st inst On Tuesday, 7th inst., wc also held our monthly sale of wool, sheepskins, hides, etc., when we offered a catalogue of 192 packages of wool, with good supporting quantities of sheepskins, hides, etc. There, was a good attendance of buyers. Sheepskins showed a drop of Id per lb and fleece wool, hale and bag, a drop of %d per lb, and lambs' wool a drop of y 4 d per lb, no doubt in sympathy with latest London cable advices. By next sale we hope to have our yards completed. The yarding consisted of 2500 sheep and 340 head of cattle, of which we sold practically all the sheep and a large proportion of the cattlce. Prices throughout were good, and a line of shorn lambs on account of Mr. J. Smith topped the market at 17s 7d, a record price, we believe, so far this season. A nice line of 2-tooth ewes on account of Mr. F. M. Standish also made the record prico of 27s 3d. Four-tooth wethers 24s to 21a 9d, 4 and 5-year ewes 17a to 19s, small lambs 8s 2d to lis 6d, good lambs 12s 6d to 15s 7d; a choice line on account of Mr. J.
