The Black Watch, among others, linvo a short sharp way with thorn when they meet any Germans who try to work the universal brotherhood stunt. Describing his experience in an attack the other day, one of the Highlanders remarked, "When we got among the (iermans, one o' the Polony-Biters plunked doon on his knees, threw up his hands, and bean to yell 'Kamerad! Kanieriul! liie a Christian!' 'Ye're a liar.' says I, sticking ma bayonet through him. 'Ye're' an angel in twa seconds from noo!"'
