WHITELEY CHURCH
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The Whifeley Memorial Church will celebrate its church anniversary on Sunday next. The preacher for the occasion is the -Rev. Percy Knight, 8.A., of Cliristchurch. Services will be conducted morning and evening in the church. Is the Good Templar Hall, at 3 o'clock a pleasant Sunday afternoon will be held, when special vocal and instrumental items will be given and Mr. Knight will deliver an address on "The Value of a Man." His Worship the Mayor will preside. . On Monday evening, in the same hall, at 8 o'clock, Mr. Knight will deliver a popular lecture on the "Life and Works of Dante, the Immortal." This lecture, which will be. illustrated by 100 magnificent pictures shown by electric light, lias been given already in most of the large cities of New Zealand and with uniform success. Its novelty is one of its attractions, and patrons com certainly look forward*'to seeing and hearing something they have never seen or heard before. 'The mjmber for the district, Mr. H. J. Okey, has congested to preside on this occasion.
