- THE GERMAN FLEET. GONE HOME TO SLEEP AGAIN. Amsterdam March 9. The German fleet has cabled to the Kaiser that it has returned to its base. The funnels of some of the vessels were curiously painted, one a conspicuous yellow and the rest an invisible grey. The Moewe was repainted a different color after 1 - every encounter with a British vessel. Amsterdam, March 9. The Kaiser personally bestowed the Order "pour le merite" on the captain of the Moewe.

This explains the removal of mines. ?■' INTERNED SHIPS. Capetown, March 9. The German vessels Admiral, Kronprinz, Khalif. Essen, Hoff, Londwoermann, and Zeitun, seized at Delagoa Bay, are expected to be conveyed to Durban or Capetown and made serivce•able. (Delagoa Bay is 'Portuguese territory;)
