FETE OF NATIONS.
APPROXIMATE PROFIT £9O. As far as can be ascertained at present it appears that expenses are going to absorb the greater portion of the money raised by the Fete of Nations in aid of the wounded soldiers. The takings are approximately £3lO, and the expenses are put at £2OO. In addition about £2O was absorbed in the preliminary arrangements for the Jiattle of the Bulliou, which was subsequently dropped, so that a sum of only about £!hi w;1! be left for patriotic purposes. Exactly how much tlie organiser (Mr. W. Lints) is to receive lias not yet been fixed, but the expenses without his salary only approximate £IOO. The publie will await the publication of the balance-sheet wim interest.
