Results:— MAIDEN SCURRY.-3 Roseland 1, 2 Oriande 2, 4 Signoretta 3. Also started: Red Shield, Kairff, Pukemooi, Miss, Clements. Won by a good head. Time, 1 min 3£sec. THIRD TROT.-3 Cremorne L 2 Glad All 2, 4 Alabama Thorpe 3. Also ran: Eclat, Bobby, Arab Belle, Rapaura. Won by several lengths. OMAKE HACK.-S Totaranui 1, 4 Roseland 2, 3 Eron Boy 3. Also ran:" Ballyhar, Cosco, Wirokino, Aye Ready. Won by a neck. Time, Imin 16 3-ssec. RIVERLANDS.—I Stepney I, 3 Merry Gain 2, 4 Wailand 3. Also started: Haumakaha, Plunder. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 59sec. J DASH HACK.—7 Eron Boy 1, 5 Orianda 2, 4 Excitement 3. Also started: Lady Vladimir, Pall Mall, Hillersden, Red Shield, Pukemooi. Won by a length and a half. Time, lmin 3 l-ss'ec. FOURTH TROT.-2 Warlock 1-, 1 Bundura 2, 7 Promotion 3. Also started: Elsie, Allerton, Welcome Jack, Waterfall, Winston M, Little Bones. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 3sec. TF.LEGRAPH.-l Heather 1, 2Hamnakaha 2, 3 Wailand 3. The only starters. Won by two lengths. Time, 1 min 17sec. SECOND WELTER.-2 Finisterre 1, 5 Rienza 2, 1 British Rose 3. Also ran: Ballyhar, Wirokino. Wan all the way by a length. Time, lmin 31sec. The totalisator handled £3039, making the figures for the two davs £9334, as against £11,285 last spring"
WAIMATE PLAINS TROTTIXG CLUB, ■ At the annual meeting of the Waimate Plains Trotting Club the annua! report stated, inter alia: "The first meeting of the new club, held on Wednesday, 28th July, 1915, on the Egmont Racing' Club's course, was in every way a success, 1 horses arriving from as far away as Auckland. Gisborne and Canterbury, and the profit amounting to a little over £IOO, which together with members' subscriptions, makes a balance of £3OB 12s lid. Easter Monday has been chosen, and approved by the conference as the day on which we are to race this season, The Egmont Racing Club has sanctioned the use of their course for thiß day, The sub-committee set up to meet delegates from the A. and P. Association with a view to racing on their property, regret to report that owing to the situation of the buildings, it is not feasible." The report was adopted.
