Tiie Tnglewood green will, weather permitting, be officially opened for the season to-day. The banner match between West End (the holders), and Stratford, which bad weather prevented from coming off last Thursday, is to be played to-day on the West End green. The following, who have been selected to represent Stratford. will leave there by motor-cars at noon:—Martin, Cottier, J. Masters, McMillan (s); C. Jackson, Fookes, Smart, Sharp (s); North, Edgecumbe, Morison, Nicholson (s) j Lopdell, F. J. McDonald, W McDonald, Sangster (s), A rink from Pihama (Thorley, Moore. Lambie, and Mason), played a Hawera rink (Spence, .T. Syme, Hcnson and Hollard), on the local green on Saturday afternoon, the former winning on the twenty-fifth head by 24 to 19.
The Hawera Club's challenge buttons changed hands on Saturday: Tontr, Dunlop. Adamson, and Hodge defeating the holders (Crabb, .T. Hieks, Black and Foyl, 22 to 14 points.
