RUSSIAN REPORT, Received Oct. IK, IOJ'.O pjn. Petrograd, Oct. 28. A communique reports: We repulsed German attacks at Ikskul, and also at Neuselburg, north-westward of Jacobstadt.

THE INVADERS' POSITION, Times and Sydney Sun Services. Received Oct. 28, 5.5 p.m. Ijondon, Oct. 27. The Paris journal Nandea/i says that the positions of the Germans on the Southern front is precarious, and they lost equivalent to an army corp3 in a fortnight. If the disorderly retreat on the Stvr is followed by the loss of the Stokodt line, they will be compelled to abandon their whole policy.
The AnstTO-G«nmuis are evidently beginning to waver. Their situation is nowhere brilliant, but is at points extremely ticklish.
