Ml!. SIDKY'S DAYLIGHT BILL. (.Special to News.) Wellington, Last Night. The lirst division of the .session occurred to-night in connection with .Mr. Sidev's JHvlight Saving Hill. Tlie lluihc had spent tlie whole evening discuss M.'} the liill, usually in a jocular vein, though there were several ita.-sages-of-arins, due mainly to the member for Hutt's ingenious baiting ol Government members. Finally iti;. Mine '(Stratford) movrt that the liill .should be read a second time six months hence, and on a devisiou this amendment was defeated by -II votes to 2(>. The announcement of the voting representing a victory for an Opposition member in the lirst division ol the session was greeted with applause from the Opposition benches. The Bill was read a second time on the voices.
