The following team will represent tlie Clifton seniors against Tukapa at Waitara on Saturday:— Waka, C. Tate, S. Kggleston, Goodwin, Abbott, Crowley, V. Tate, W. Lasli, Reid, Berntsen, Thomas, King, Jones, Baigent and another.
The Clifton first juniors to play Star at Waitara on Thursday will be picked from the following players:— Brown (2), Crow, Tate' (2), Jones, Frost, Longstair, Slight, Gill, Trim, McDonald, Wickham, Manu, Elliot, Gardner, Jupp, Fuller, Lye, Baekholm.
The Tukapa first juniors will be picked from the following to play Kltham at Western Park on Thursday *t 1.30: Patterson, Newton, Brough'ton, Tito, L. Whitaker, Fuller, Roebuck, Waka, L James, Snowie Rasper, Davis, Loveridge, Bellringer, Kahoe, Tamate. At Rahotu, on Saturday, Okato defeated the local team by twenty-one points to nil. Tries were obtained by 0. Eustace (3), lAylward, Brennan and 0. Julian, whilst Harvey kicked a penalty goal.
At a special meeting of the Hawera Club on Saturday evening it was decided to vote £lO towards liquidating the outstanding liabilities of the Taranaki Rugby Union, provided the remainder of the clubs subscribed the balance. It was unanimously decided that all profits of the season be devoted to a fund for the assistance of wounded New Zealand soldiers.
